ARCHIVE

Blues whispers to my Soul

Holding space for the Blues People to remember, redefine, and revive our story — in our own frequency.
This archive listens as much as it speaks — rooted in our echoes, carried by our rhythm.
Here, the voices of our elders, creators, and community are not lost to time, but amplified.
We honor the Blues as both memory and movement — a living testament to our survival, spirit, and sound.

What Led Me to the Blues

Legacy

Everything I do is built on ancestral memory, generational wisdom, and the Pearley family vision. Whether performing the Blues, building AAF, or preserving history, it’s rooted in honoring what came before—not for nostalgia, but for continuity and survival.

Transmission

My encompass both a carrier and a teacher. I train others in documentation, I record traditions, and my performances transmit Blues epistemology.

Kinfolk

My work centers Black communal life—not as backdrop, but as source. This concept ties directly to my folklorist method, fieldwork, and stage presence.

Resistence

Performing traditional Blues, publishing Black folklore, and creating platforms for memory are all forms of resistance against cultural erasure, distortion, and commercial co-optation.

Narrative

My core philosophy is that Black people must tell their own stories—from the field to the archive to the mic. Narrative is power.

Stewardship

I see my work not as ownership, but as care. I am a guardian of songs, stories, and spaces—both sacred and sonic.
